Kylie Jenner is the mistress of glam, but there’s nothing more fashionable than being yourself.
The reality television star-turned-beauty mogul opened up about her evolving style, motherhood and co-parenting in an interview with WSJ Magazine published Wednesday.
Jenner, named the magazine’s brand innovator of the year, spoke to WSJ about her new fashion line Khy. The line, co-founded with mom Kris Jenner and fashion entrepreneurs Emma and Jens Grede, will feature investment pieces created by various guest designers. Khy’s first collection will include faux-leather pieces such as trench coats and skintight dresses, as well as nylon-and-elastane “base layers.”
“The whole line is really inspired by my personal wardrobe,” Jenner said.

Another beauty inspiration influencing the Kylie Cosmetics founder of late: motherhood. Jenner, who has previously opened up about past cosmetic work, said her relationship with daughter Stormi, 5, has shifted her perceptions of beauty.
“My daughter has totally taught me a lot more about myself, and seeing myself in her has changed everything. I’ve had so much growth and am just embracing natural beauty,” Jenner said. “I’m teaching her about mistakes that I made and making sure she knows she’s just perfect exactly how she is.”
Jenner is also mother to 1-year-old son Aire. “The Kardashians” star said naming her son, originally named Wolf, was “the hardest thing that I’ve ever done in my life.” (Jenner previously said the name Wolf "didn't feel like it was him.")
“The postpartum hit and the hormones, and I couldn’t even make a decision or think straight. And it just destroyed me,” Jenner said. “I could not name him. And I was like, ‘I feel like a failure. I don’t have a name for my son.’ So, it took me a while, and then the longer I waited, the harder it was to name him.”
Jenner shares Stormi and Aire with rapper and ex-boyfriend Travis Scott. While she remained mum about the former couple’s relationship, Jenner seemed to acknowledge their parenting dynamic is a work-in-progress.
“It’s going …” Jenner said. “I think we’re doing the best job that we can do.”
